After months of planning and shifting of dates, on Feb 10th 2022, Style Finance Group CEO Bernadine Geary brought two of her businesses together for the inaugural Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Business Summit.
Hosted by Style Finance Group, and showcased by skating rink turned function venue Sk8house, this event brought together 150 + local business owners, government representatives and finance industry experts.
As the owner of Style Finance Group and co-owner of Sk8house, Bernadine knows all too well the rollercoaster ride of owning your own business – particularly with the challenges of lockdowns and the economic instability caused by COVID in recent years.
Seeing the rink transformed into a corporate function venue, full of local business owners soaking up the inspiration, brought a tear to my eye – it was amazing!

The summit was Bernadine’s way of giving back to the business community, providing them with the opportunity to access information and support from industry experts that would otherwise be out of their reach. All under one roof we tackled small business finance, cashflow options and the support that is available for business COVID recovery plans.
Inspirational Keynote Speaker
One of the many highlights of the event was the truly inspirational Keynote Speaker – Mornington Peninsula local business marvel – Kate Save, CEO & Co-founder of Be Fit Food, Australia’s leading dietitian and doctor-designed meal provider. Kate is a clinical dietitian, exercise physiologist, diabetes educator, and successful entrepreneur. Winner of Shark Tank 2017, named as one of Australia’s fastest growing companies by the AFR 2020 and 2022 Telstra Best of Business Winner, Kate has one of Australia’s most successful healthy meal delivery businesses, and is a jewel of the Mornington Peninsula.
Kate is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve positive change — be it through sharing her wisdom on health, or her learnings in business. She was kind enough to offer to share her time, wisdom and inspirational business story with us and everyone in attendance took so much away from it! Not least of which was her tale of rapid expansion and the importance of having your finances ready if you need to import or buy stock unexpectedly!
